Description: Morning, sunny, mild Location
Name: Big Chain and Pigeon Island, Oak Bay, Victoria, BC General
Remarks: Birds had a nest - 3 eggs on bare rock. Each little
island had a pair of two or three birds (there were many Glaucous-winged Gulls
in the main islands nest building and eggs were plentiful - but no young yet).
This Oystercatchers "Alarming" was the main call we heard from them as they flew

to sound forth from another rock promontory. Background: Glaucous-winged Gulls,
